Description
Purpose of the Role:
1. The successful candidate will be assigned to assist the CNM2 in managing the day-to-day operational needs within the department.
2. To provide cover for the CNMII during their absence.
3. The CNM1 has a pivotal role in co-ordinating Medical Day Unit Lists.
4. The CNM1 has a pivotal role in the co-ordination and management of activity and services within the clinical area.
5. Promote high-quality standards of care through demonstration of clinical expertise.
6. Ensure confidentiality on all matters and information obtained during the course of employment.
7. Be registered in the Children’s Division of the active register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
8. Or be registered in the General Division of the active register held by NMBI and have relevant children’s nursing experience.
9. At least 3 years post-registration experience or equivalent relevant experience.
10. Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
11. Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level.
