We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals wanting to progress in their career as a Psychiatric Nurse within the Mental Health Sector, where our team bring a wealth of experience in supporting individuals with a range of Mental illnesses. The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role.
Job Objectives
We are seeking Healthcare Assistants to join our dynamic team in our specialist inpatient Mental Health Service at Nua Healthcare.
1. Safe Management and Administration of Medications
2. Utilising nursing skills to support the delivery of effective front-line support to all Service Users
3. Support the development and implementation of Health Assessments, Medication Plans and all supporting docs outlining supports for individuals including: personal plans, epilepsy plans, diabetic plans etc.
4. Ensure that all Health Action Plans are delivered appropriately to all Service Users
5. Promote good relationships with primary health care services in each individual’s community.
6. Communicate and liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
7. Identify supports and work in partnership with the individual, their family and other supports as outlined within individual Personal Plans.
8. Support Patients with health appointments and follow through on recommendations.
9. Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to Patients.
10. Promote & nurture person centred planning using key worker systems and shared goal setting, maintaining confidentiality at all times
11. Support the development and implementation of relevant docs outlining supports for Patients including: personal plans, standard operating procedures etc.
12. Support and promote maximum opportunities for community involvement for people who use the service.
13. Assist DON in regard to compiling and presenting reports as required.
14. Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to staff and patients.

Skills Requirement
Qualification
15. Be registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Knowledge
16. Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management.
17. An understanding of the needs of individuals.
Experience:
18. Experience in Nursing in a similar psychiatric field.
19. Experience of relating to people in a supportive role.
Skills:
20. Effective verbal and written communication.
21. Ability to work under pressure.
22. Ability to work on own initiative.
23. Willingness to learn.
24. Reliability and flexible approach to work.
25. Good organisation and IT skills.
26. Self-motivated / Self starter.
