They are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Paediatric Psychologist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the mental health and development of our young patients.
Position Overview:
As a Paediatric Psychologist, you will play a critical role in assessing and treating children and adolescents with a variety of psychological concerns, including developmental, behavioural, emotional, and learning challenges. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including paediatricians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers, to deliver holistic, family-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans for patients experiencing behavioural, emotional, or developmental difficulties.
3. Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy.
4. Collaborate with medical professionals, teachers, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
5. Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
6. Offer psychoeducation and support to families and caregivers.
7. Contribute to team meetings, case conferences, and inter-disciplinary collaborations.
8. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
9. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to remain current with the latest in paediatric psychological care.
Qualifications:
1. Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology with a focus on child development, clinical psychology, or a related field.
2. Licensed or license-eligible to practice psychology in Ireland.
3. Experience in paediatric psychology, with a strong understanding of developmental, behavioural, and emotional disorders in children.
4. Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as CBT, play therapy, and family systems approaches.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and their families.
