Responsible for: Sales Management function for Carr Golf Services
Location: Carr Golf Client Venues (60% of time) & Carr Golf Head Office (30% of time)
The Carr Golf Services team specialize in providing a tailored sales and business development solution to client, leased and operated golf clubs to drive their businesses forward. Working within the Client Services team, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of sales activities for Carr Golf Client Venues. You will work with the Head of Carr Golf Services to drive revenues across all areas of the business (memberships, green fees, retail & food and beverage) to meet annual budgets and establish the Clubs as market leaders. This is a hands-on role and you will spend a significant amount of the work week at client venues as well as the Head Office in Parkwest, Dublin 12.
Areas of responsibility will include:
* Working with the Group CRO to set out sales targets and develop annual sales plans.
* Implement the annual sales plan with the sales executives to drive key revenue streams for each venue:
o Membership renewals and retention programmes
o Green Fees including society and corporate golf and third party partners sales
o Tour Operator & International Guest Green Fees
o Food & Beverage
* Monitor sales performance and provide the CRO with sales reporting – Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually.
* Assist in developing and delivering tailor-made multi product multi venue sales plans, working with the sales executives, third party agencies and venue Operation Managers to ensure maximum revenue and yield are achieved.
* Management of the Services Sales Team (two full-time executives) including allocating resources to maximize sales efficiency during high demand periods.
* Assist the sales team in delivering outstanding customer service to our prospects/clients.
* Ensure the orderly and effective tracking of sales performance through Hubspot and overall Hubspot management for the Carr Golf Services Division.
* Working with the venue Operation Managers, ensure a seamless transition for our clients during handover from sales to golf operations with all Corporate, Society and Group bookings.
* Support the CRO by representing Carr Golf Services (Venues) at key networking events to deepen relationships with clients and strengthen relationships with prospects.
* Conduct regular competitor, market and product analysis to identify growth, pricing and upsell opportunities.
* Support the marketing team in the design and implementation of an effective marketing strategy, to attract new business (Membership, Society Golf, Corporate Golf, Tour Operators).
* Liaise and meet regularly with marketing to help drive effective lead generation programs and activities to support sales goals.
* Develop and maintain strategic relationships/partnerships with key industry influencers to meet business goals.
* Attend venues regularly, work with key venue personnel (Golf Operations Manager, F&B Manager, Retail Managers) to ensure delivery of monthly budget targets and activity plans.
* Build and maintain relationships with co-workers, organisations, vendors/suppliers and social groups to uncover opportunities, leads and ultimately secure sales.
* Ensure a strict confidential approach applies to all aspects of the sales department, including outside office hours.
* Attend meetings at client venues/head office as required and discuss weekly/monthly activity plans and report results.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' Sales or management experience in a related industry.
* Sales focused, target and results driven.
* Excellent levels of personal motivation and organisation.
* Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written and verbal reports.
* Confident, ambitious and pro-active, seeks out challenges and is driven by success.
* Problem solver with ability to think on feet and provide strong leadership to team.
* Proven track record in sales target success and over-achievement essential.
* Experience in the hospitality/travel/tour operator/golf club/sports NGB’s or related industry sector essential.
* Experience or strong knowledge of the golf industry is a requirement.
* Golf knowledge is essential.
* Full clean driving license is essential.
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
