Job Title: Planner
On behalf of our client, a manufacturing company based in Shannon, Co. Clare, we are seeking a Planner to join their team on a six-month fixed-term contract basis.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Planner will possess strong project and time management skills, use creative approaches to achieve goals, have a willingness to be flexible, and be a driver of change.
* Complete all work-related tasks such as creating, processing, scanning, and archiving purchase orders.
* Work with the supply chain team to support production and external customer needs.
* Collaborate with all departments as required to comply with company projects as assigned.
* Work with Lead Planner/Buyer for all schedule-related activities in the manufacturing area, including daily and weekly material deliveries.
* Provide daily feedback to customer service regarding customer expedite requests, supply order status updates, and problem orders on the shop floor.
* Advise on deliveries and plan the scheduling of jobs to the shop floor.
* Deal with vendor and customer contacts via phone and email.
* Liaise with production to obtain answers to expedited items.
* Work with Lead Planner/Buyer to ensure delivery of KPIs and weekly reports for management.
* Data entry on ERP system and running work benches.
* Liaise with Production/Engineering to send purchase orders to vendors.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Degree in a business-related discipline.
* Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
* Ability to read engineering drawings is an advantage.
* Proven capability to establish and achieve continuous improvement goals.
* Effective communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Proactive, self-starter who can work independently without supervision.
* Ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple tasks.
* Positive attitude and motivation for the role.
* Operate to the highest ethical standards with a strong work ethic.
The Offer
This is a six-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
This role is based fully onsite in Shannon, Co. Clare, with working hours from Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
