Job Title: Human Resource Generalist
Role Type: Permanent. Part time.
Location: Dungarvan, Co. Waterford
On behalf of our client, Harper Finley are recruiting a HR Generalist on a permanent basis, part time basis. This role reports to the Operations Manager and is critical to business operations. The HR Generalist will be responsible for areas such as HR Admin, Recruitment, Onboarding, Induction, Offboarding, Employee Retention, Learning & Development and Training. It’s a varied role which is well supported by Senior Management. The ideal candidate for this role has good experience in a HR role, who is approachable and enjoys building strong relationships with employees.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* HR Administration: Maintain employee records, manage HR documentation, ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
* Employee Queries: Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and resolving issues in a timely manner.
* Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviews, and offer management.
* Onboarding & Induction: Coordinate and deliver comprehensive onboarding and induction programs for new hires.
* Probation Reviews: Track probationary periods and facilitate review meetings with managers.
* Performance Reviews: Support the performance management cycle, coordinate reviews, and assist managers with feedback processes.
* Career Development: Collaborate with team leaders to identify development paths and succession planning.
* Employee Retention: Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
* Training & L&D: Identify learning needs, coordinate training programs, and support ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Degree in Human Resources or CIPD qualification is preferred but experience will be considered.
* 3+ years’ experience within a HR role.
* Strong understanding of HR processes, employment law, and best practices.
* An approachable nature, with strong communication skills
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
* Proficiency in HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS systems, recruitment platforms).
