Service Technician Team Lead
Job Summary:
The Service Technician Team Lead will oversee the operational responsibility for the Service Technician team and ensure the effective servicing and warranty repairs of cooling towers throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Service Manager: Advise and inform on activities, requirements, and opportunities.
2. Manage Customer Relations: Assist in managing relations with customers, including water treatment accounts.
3. Schedule Service Work: Arrange the service work schedule and ensure adequate personnel, equipment, and materials are present onsite.
4. Optimize Resource Utilization: Ensure optimal use of resources within the Service Team to maintain profitability and minimize downtime.
5. Overtime Management: Log individual Service Team overtime hours and send to the Service Manager for approval.
6. Customer Site Visits: Conduct site visits upon request by the Service Manager to survey customer installations and recommend improvements.
7. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all site work is carried out in accordance with the latest Health & Safety guidelines.
8. Training and Development: Participate in inter-departmental training programs as required.
9. Reporting and Communication: Complete reports correctly and return them to clients in a professional and timely manner.
10. Team Performance Assessment: Continuously assess and identify strengths and weaknesses within the service team, ensuring appropriate training and product knowledge is established.
11. Fleet Management: Assist in fleet management.

Education and Experience:
1. Scheduling and Field Staff Management: Experience in scheduling and working with field staff.
2. Engineering Qualification: A formal engineering qualification is an advantage but not essential.
3. Health and Safety Knowledge: Clear understanding of health and safety principles.
4. Computer Literacy: Computer literate with further training available if needed.
