Key Responsibilities:
* Felling licence, forest road, woodland improvement, Ash RUS applications
* Site inspection for mapping purposes
* Coordinating projects with our team of harvesting foresters and liaising with external consultants such as ecologists and engineers
* Undertaking background research, desk studies, and ecological fieldwork and impact assessment reporting, to best-practice guidelines and methodologies
* Advising owners on best forest practice and maximising financial returns, particularly in relation to harvesting and managing semi-mature plantations
* Delivering fit for purpose project outputs within set deadlines
Requirements:
* A recognised qualification in forestry at level 7/8 on the QQI Framework of qualifications or equivalent
* A knowledge of all Forest Service forestry schemes
* A knowledge of all paperwork associated with the Department for Landowners
* A knowledge or experience of harvesting and marketing of timber
* Excellent planning and project management abilities
* Full driving licence
* Ability to exercise good judgment with minimal supervision
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
