Job Title: Automation Test Lead (Billing Experience Required)

Client Overview:
Our client, a leading utilities company based in Dublin, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Test Lead to join their dynamic team for an exciting 6-month contract opportunity. This is an ideal role for someone with strong expertise in test automation, particularly in the utilities and billing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of automation testers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
2. Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for billing systems and related utilities applications.
3. Oversee and maintain automated test frameworks to ensure consistent and efficient testing processes.
4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project managers to define and refine testing strategies.
5. Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of automation scripts.
6. Ensure adherence to best practices for test automation and work to continuously improve processes.
7. Report on testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders regularly.
8. Support the integration of automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
9. Ensure proper documentation of test cases, test scripts, and results.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
1. Proven experience as an Automation Test Lead or Senior Automation Tester, ideally within the utilities sector.
2. Strong expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
3. Previous experience working with billing systems within the utilities or similar regulated industries is essential.
4. Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
5. Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and leadership abilities to guide a testing team.
8. Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, is a plus.
9. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
1. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
2. ISTQB certification or equivalent testing qualification is desirable.
Additional Information:
1. This is a 6-month contract position, with the flexibility to work two days per week on-site in Dublin.
2. Competitive daily rate based on experience.
