Site Civil Facilities Engineer
A mid-level role reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, responsible for plant structural and civil engineering works.
About the Role
This position requires a highly skilled engineer who can recommend best practice solutions and work across departments on-site with contractors and external partners. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and groundworks.
* Undertake technical and feasibility studies, site inspections of utilities, and project lead projects.
* Ensure building regulations compliance.
* Vendor management, negotiate contracts, and manage service agreements and relationships.
* Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases.
* Conduct and document regular site inspections on fire, water, and energy supply assets.
* Oversee the facilities/utilities preventative maintenance programme.
* Assist Design teams with the development of site-specific facility/utility equipment and processes as required.
* Act as Project Engineer/Sponsor for facility projects.
* Ensure designs and maintenance of building systems meet legislative and H&S requirements.
* Participate/Lead insurance audits.
Requirements:
* Hold a level 8 qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering (5+ years of related work experience) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a similar environment/role.
* Experience in civil maintenance, engineering, and all facets of large-scale civil operations.
The salary range for this role is between €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
