Description The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in several activities of the Pig HealthCheck (PHC) programme and will report directly to the PHC Programme Manager. The main focus of the work will be on the TAILWARDS (Irish pig sector stakeholders moving together towards raising pigs with intact tails) project. This project is a collaboration between Teagasc, Animal Health Ireland and the Irish Farmers Association (IFA). The successful candidate will lead and work as Innovation Broker for the PRRS eradication/control task and contribute to the other tasks of the project (e.g. overstocking feedback task). This will require arranging meetings, reviewing and updating materials, minute taking, developing reports, writing newsletters and articles for printing and social media, providing technical information and support to veterinarians and farmers.
