Role Overview
The Fund Accounting Director (Fully Remote) oversees all aspects of the NAV process, reporting to the Fund Accounting Managing Director. This role provides leadership and strategic direction for fund accounting teams, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The Director plays a key role in process enhancements, client relations, and operational oversight while working in a fully remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and optimize the NAV process, including fee calculations, P&L allocations, and financial instrument accounting.
2. Serve as a primary contact for client inquiries, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
3. Manage fund accounting teams, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, auditors, and legal counsel.
5. Ensure adherence to a robust control environment, enhancing workflows and procedures.
6. Oversee financial and regulatory reporting.
7. Manage client transitions and onboard new funds.
8. Collaborate with Investor Services, Business Development, Compliance, and Operations teams.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal, or Business (minimum 2.2 honors).
2. Minimum 9 years of hedge fund administration experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role. Alternative fund experience may be considered.
