Purpose of the Role:
As Test Baker, reporting into the Concept & Test Bakery Lead, you will be involved in the day to day activities of the test bakery and supporting to deliver our growth plans in line with the 3 key pillars;
1. Flavour development
2. Personal Health
3. Planet Health
This will be completed in partnership with the customer facing development team.
This role is perfect for a baker who is looking to work in a commercial bakery and gain experience of manufacturing of breads.
Working with our Insights Manager, NPD Managers and suppliers you will be responsible for creating and developing breads inline wit customer briefs, as well as blue sky innovation. Transfer of products from test bakery to manufacturing is key to this role and therefore a team player that can build trust with our operations function is a must. Systems / Process and CI are key aspects of this role in line with a stage and gate innovation policy.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
4. Supporting the development team with concept development
5. Responding to briefs on time and within budget
6. Clear and concise recipe management and reporting of trials to support the business Stage and Gate Process
7. Ensure that quality standards defined as part of test bakery are delivered on going in manufacturing
8. Support CI projects through the test bakery into manufacturing

17. Bread Bakery hands on experience in high volume bakery in parallel with a clear understanding of artisan and sourdough production

Other Requirements:
23. Regular travel required to customer and supplier sites (Mainly UK)
24. Availability to work flexible hours as needed
