We are partnering with a multinational medical company to recruit an EHS Specialist to join their team in Galway on a temporary 12 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a global team to ensure EHS compliance across sites in Europe and Asia. Responsibilities (full job description available by request): As an EHS Specialist, you will: Assist in the creation/maintenance of effective EHS management systems for various sites. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental legislation by ensuring all required EHS documentation is up to date and readily available. Apply technical knowledge/skills to EHS programs and systems. Support in the maintenance of ISO14001 and ISO45001 systems. Educate and engage employees in efforts to optimize Abbotts EHS performance. Assist other professionals and management in the application of standard EHS theories, concepts, and techniques. Ensure EHS audits are conducted and all issues are?effectively closed out. Contribute to investigations, and?helps report findings, recommendations, and action plans. Promote continuous improvement in all environmental and safety matters. Promote, implement, and participate in safety committees. Convey information effectively through formal and informal documents and meetings with team members, both internal and external. Requirements: Third level qualification in an Environmental Science/ Occupational, safety and health or related discipline is a necessary requirement for this position. 1 2 years experience in a similar position. Excellent working knowledge of EHS related legislation and industry best practices. Excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills.
