We are seeking a talented individual to join our Rewards Consulting team at Mercer Ireland and this role can be based in Dublin or Cork.

As a Rewards Consultant in our Career practice, you will partner with client Compensation & Benefits and HR teams, top-level executives, and board members to better manage, reward, and engage their people.

We are particularly well positioned to assist clients with their preparations for EU Pay Transparency, with expertise in pay equity, benchmarking, job evaluation and levelling, job architecture, and change management & communications.
Mercer Ireland wishes to hire a consultant with expertise in rewards consulting, with knowledge of (or willingness to acquire knowledge quickly of) job evaluation, job architecture and pay equity assessment.
You will be given considerable support by our expert practitioners across Mercer Europe, including our regional consulting centre of excellence:
the focus of the role will be more on relationship management and business development than on implementation.
We will count on you to:
Work with clients to review reward frameworks and job architecture, assessing readiness for Pay Transparency.
Providing value-added consulting expertise to a wide variety of clients in Ireland / globally, as required.
Leading projects and ensuring the progress of project teams against established objectives, budgets and timelines.
Supporting clients with job evaluation, levelling and performance management design, using Mercer tools and methodologies.
Preparing client presentations and reports that will be presented to boards of directors, senior-level executives, and/or management.
Facilitating client forums, workshops and stakeholder interviews.
Delivering new business.
Managing relationships with clients.
Developing knowledge of Mercer's solutions and consulting methodologies in the areas of Workforce Rewards, Executive Rewards and HR Transformation.
Developing innovative rewards solutions based on client feedback and general market intelligence.
What you need to have:
Relationship management and business development skillsAbility to guide and work with expert teams in our Centre of Excellence, which will provide considerable delivery support.
Relevant experience in a Rewards/HR environment, including some consulting experience.
Knowledge of reward management, benchmarking, role evaluation and benefits design.
Demonstrated success in HR/ compensation & benefits environment.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the Irish business landscape and how that relates to Reward strategy and design.
Excellent analytical skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel for statistical analysis.
Ability to work with project teams and collaborate with others to deliver to clients.
Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
Record of achieving results and making sense of complex, high quantity projects.
Receptiveness to a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and weaknesses.
