Data Governance Analyst
Hybrid role
Main Duties:
* Implement a data governance strategy, ensuring approach is practical with business stakeholder buy-in.
* Advise on the implementation of data governance/data catalogue/master data management tools into the BIDA platform.
* Mitigate risk through strong data governance.
* Proactively engage with all internal and external stakeholders and advise on data governance best practices.
* Assess each project's data governance maturity and provide recommendations regarding people, process, and technology approaches.
* Lead deployments of data governance activities across all business areas and projects involved within the Authority.
* Identify Authority information assets, requirements, risks, and responsibilities.
* Create common data dictionaries.
* Create methods for monitoring and reporting any data incidents.
* Create key data quality indicators.
* Work with other information technology personnel to develop data quality standards.
Essential Criteria:
Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent) in a Data Discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, etc.).
* Managing the information flow for organizations, including the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data.
* Experience in both developing and implementing a data governance strategy.
* Creating methods for monitoring and reporting any data.
* Creating common data.
* Familiarity with industry data governance/data catalogue/master data management tools and methods that support data standards for an organization.
* Experience with several data catalogue, data governance, and master data management tools.
