Job Description
The process engineering function plays a critical role in supporting Element Six's production activities, ensuring processes are under control and performing at specified quality levels. This work involves understanding the fundamentals of process engineering, process controls, and continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for process verification, validation, and improvement. Key responsibilities include:
* Identifying and controlling key process performance parameters and measures, such as:
* Reporting, monitoring, and governance of process control, Cpk.
* Establishing process control limits and ensuring the process operates within limits while meeting product quality requirements.
* Responsible for process capability and performance.
* Identifying and implementing countermeasures to meet process performance and yield targets.
* Building a deep understanding of process variables and implementing root cause analysis to deliver robust solutions.
You will also be responsible for creating, implementing, and documenting process specifications, including:
* Creating and maintaining process control plans, specifications, and supporting the creation of standard work instructions.
* Taking ownership of process KPIs, FMEAs, control plans, capability reports, and continuous improvement plans.
* Ensuring Bill of Materials (BoMs) and routes are correct and up to date.
In addition, you will be responsible for continuous improvement and process development, including:
* Serving as the focal point for process change control.
* Driving process improvement and cycle time reduction.
* Leading Process Problem Solving (PPS) and 3C initiatives to address process concerns, quality issues, and implement countermeasures.
* Proactively seeking out new production technology to deliver significant advancements in process capability.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
* A third-level qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Process, or Production Engineering, or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
* An openness to new technologies and the ability to follow up on these independently.
* A motivated individual with a strong can-do attitude.
* Ability to lead, communicate, and appropriately influence project team members and work with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to relate and work effectively with staff at all levels in the organization.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all management levels.
