We are looking for a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team as a Supply Chain Manager.
Reporting into the Commercial director you will analyse and take any steps necessary to improve the overall productivity of the supply chain. You will create strategies to speed up the processes of ordering, sourcing, stocking, packing, loading and delivering HL products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws and regulations.
* Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices.
* Implementing logistic strategies, tracking goods from the origination point to the warehouse.
* Analysing the supply chain data and solving any issues or putting alternative plans in place.
* Identifying and minimising risk by predicting the demand for products and adopting new technology with no interruption to the process.
* Managing inventory, packing and distributing.
* Working with finance to ensure suppliers charge us correctly and are paid on time.
* Following up after accidents and injuries on the floor.
* Developing safety guidelines, teaching and enforcing the protocols.
* Supervising and training employees within the warehouse, Supply chain area.
* Take responsibility for landed costs being accurate for sales team to quote.
* Manage the annual stock takes.
Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of operational and commercial supply chain experience.
* Team leadership experience.
* Ability to influence both external and internal stakeholders.
* Ability to work cross functionally.
