Position: Clinical Placement M anager Contract: Permanent Reports to: Head of School Location: Hybrid Key Responsibilities Clinical Administration: Manage and maintain all student data related to clinical components across programmes, including clinical submissions, personal therapy logs, external supervisors' reports, and group supervisor reports. Ensure student readiness-to-practice in advance of placement confirmation Ensure student endorsements Assist in the development, review, and updating of clinical documentation, policies, and procedures for clinical practice across all programmes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of programme-specific clinical timelines, including submission deadlines, across all relevant programmes. Keep accurate records of the placement status and locations of students across all programmes. Maintain and update records of each student's clinical placement hours to ensure alignment with relevant counsellor and psychotherapy programme requirements (IACP & CORU) as well as the professional requirements for registration as a counsellor or psychotherapist. Liaise with all affiliated clinical placement allocations ensuring sufficient placements and quality of placements. Programme Support Student induction to readiness to practice and endorsement requirements Review and ensure clinical submissions meet programme-specific benchmarks and standards. Liaise with the Head of School during sign-off periods to verify appropriate student placements across programmes. Deliver readiness-to-practice webinars to students on a regular basis Deliver clinical briefings as required to students across various programmes. Provide support to the Head of School in the clinical work sign-off process. Work closely with the Registry Department on tasks such as Board of Examiners preparation. Respond to student queries promptly, providing clear and accurate guidance regarding clinical requirements. General Duties Maintain knowledge of validation, accreditation, and governing body requirements for clinical placements. Stay informed about programme-specific clinical requirements across relevant programmes. Collaborate with the Academic Department as necessary. Understand the roles of the Academic Team members concerning clinical practice requirements. Adhere to and promote clear ethics and standards related to clinical requirements within the programmes. Participate in relevant college meetings. Maintain familiarity with all relevant administrative procedures. Personnel Specification Essential Skills and Experience Degree-level qualification. At least 2 years of experience in an administrative role. A teaching and assessing course are desirable or the willingness to undertake same Strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational skills. Willingness to learn new systems. Desirable Skills and Experience Awareness or experience in practice management. Experience in higher education. Knowledge of the counselling and psychotherapy profession.
