Job Summary
We are seeking applications from highly motivated and creative individuals to join our team at St. Aidan's Services. As a person-centred approach facilitator, you will be responsible for implementing the wishes and goals of the individuals we support.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
* To facilitate and implement a person-centred approach for the individuals we support appropriate to their wishes and goals.
* To promote and protect the rights of the individuals we support in a manner that respects their dignity, their right to make choices and their privacy.
* To actively seek new interests and opportunities for the individuals to develop meaningful roles in their communities.
* To ensure the overall wellbeing of the individuals in all areas of their lives including health and personal care.
* Dealing with Behaviours that challenge.
* Experience in managing risk/risk assessments.
* Experience in alternative communications.
* Excellent organisation and communication skills.
* A knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standards.
* A knowledge of New Directions.
* Have the ability to deal with confidential information in a discreet and responsible manner.
* Excellent IT and report writing skills.
Qualification/Requirements
* A minimum of QQI Level 5 in Health Care Support/Social Care (A Diploma or Degree in Social Care or other relevant discipline advantageous).
* 6 months experience of working with people with an Intellectual Disability required.
* Must hold a full clean driving licence and willing to drive company vehicles.
* Be available to work a variety of day, evening, weekends, sleepovers & night duty required.
