Job Title: Concession Manager
Reports to: Area Manager, Concession Support Manager
Job Purpose:
To ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the concession, driving sales to meet and exceed targets. To lead a team in an environment where everything we do is for our customer.
Responsibilities:
Customer
1. Put the customer first and act as a role model.
2. Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
3. Coach and develop sales assistants to approach customers and convert the sale.
4. Know your market customer type and drive customer loyalty.
5. Understand the key trends and identify customers’ needs.
6. Reward and recognise great service at every opportunity.
Sales, Profit and Cost
1. Influence and control all concession KPIs, budgets, wage costs, and expenses.
2. Highlight & feedback commercial opportunities to Line Manager.
3. Look at driving LFL and maximising profit at every opportunity.
4. Ensure stock loss target is achieved and manage write-offs to Company guidelines.
5. Take appropriate action to improve sales performance of concession & individual.
6. Accountable and responsible for administration policies and procedures e.g. cash handling (where applicable), stocktake, security.
7. Accountable and responsible for all Health & Safety procedures.
8. 100% compliance to concession standards.
9. Run the mat ensuring operational and sales standards are maintained.
Visual Merchandising
1. Keep updated with our product and key fashion trends and what’s happening on the high street.
2. Network with your competitors in the host store to drive commercial opportunities.
3. Actively promote the brand by wearing the product.
4. Set a high benchmark on all retail standards and strive to be the first choice for fashion value.
5. Ensure compliance to the Company’s visual guidelines and deliver consistently in your concession.
6. Regularly review concession environment and layout for customer shop-ability.
7. Manage daily replenishment, option & size checks and taking appropriate action where needed.
8. Effectively plan and ensure promotions are actioned in line with Company guidelines.
People
1. Ensure positive and constructive feedback is given to the concession team to drive improved performance.
2. Reward and recognise top performance.
3. Recruit the best people to deliver on customer service and convert sales.
4. Carry out an effective induction, coach on non-negotiables and performance review.
5. Train and develop staff in selling techniques and general duties i.e. cash handling (where applicable), customer service, housekeeping.
6. Ensure the required standard of conduct and job performance is achieved by sales staff.

1. Sales focused with keen understanding of what great retail standards look like.
2. Shop floor based 90% of the time.
3. Maintain integrity at all times.
4. Commercial, results-driven, understands KPIs and how to drive them.
5. Has the ability to act and operate on their own initiative.
6. Has effective communication, time management, planning and organisational skills.
7. Self-awareness and self-development.
Key Performance Indicators:
1. Responsible for achieving concession sales targets.
2. Ensure the 5 non-negotiable standards are implemented.
3. Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
