They understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools.
QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking tasks from start to completion with minimal help.
QAEs are responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail, coming up with the test strategy/planning, creating test cases, driving the test case sign-off processes with stakeholders, contributing to code-level unit tests, and executing tests and reporting.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience in manual testing and automated testing5+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance EngineerBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field2+ years of experience in automation development and testing using Python, with experience in automating test cases for embedded softwareA DAY IN THE LIFEAs a QAE on the team, you will champion the quality of our features in our development pipeline using both automated and manual tests, reporting and verifying defects, and signing off on features and release candidates.
You will own the authoring and execution of test plans and test cases.
You will have a significant impact on the quality and delivery speed of our software, our business, and most importantly our customers.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA to ensure the features we deliver to our customers have a high level of quality.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to propose improvements to our existing processes and automated tools to enhance the team's speed, quality, and efficiency.
