Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician to play a pivotal role in the running of our business and associated companies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Posting of all transactions for two small trading companies to Xero
* Sending invoices to clients and taking payments
* Bank and credit card reconciliations
* Collection and reconciliation of Life Company commission statements
* Accounts payable
* Administer employee expenses
* Maintain basic employee records on HR system (remuneration and leave details)
* Prepare payroll inputs for external payroll provider
* Preparation of VAT returns
* AML information preparation as required
* Work with the external CFO on preparation of annual financial statements
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years experience in a bookkeeping or accounting assistant role
* Previous experience in a similar role in an Irish SMB or working in a practice with SMB clients
* Knowledge of accounting software, preferably Xero, or equivalent
* Experience with VAT returns and ROS
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
* IATI or similar qualification desired but not essential
