The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
We are now seeking applications for Communications Assistant.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Head of Corporate Affairs, you will work with our Corporate Affairs team to support the delivery of our external and internal communications strategies. The Communications Assistant will play a vital role working closely with the Corporate Affairs team to provide essential operational and administrative support. From coordinating strategic projects to managing day-to-day processes, you will be instrumental in keeping the division organised, efficient, and focused on delivering key priorities.
Individual
The successful candidate will be a proactive and organised individual who will be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a prerequisite. An understanding of the media or the political landscape is an advantage but not a requirement.
Experience & Skills:
The ideal candidate should have:
* The ability to manage and maintain schedules, meetings, and key deadlines for the team.
* Monitor progress on internal projects and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders.
* Maintain and update contact databases, communication tools, and operational systems.
* Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation to support team objectives.
* Assist with the planning and execution of events, meetings, and external engagements.
* Assist with our company newsletters, websites (internet and intranet), and press releases.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
