Senior Practice Accountant
We are seeking a Senior Practice Accountant to play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing a broad range of accounting and financial services at our well-established Chartered Accountants firm in Galway city.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting:
* Prepare, analyse, and present comprehensive financial reports for clients.
* Provide strategic financial advice to support business decision-making.
* Develop budgeting and forecasting models to aid client financial planning.
2. Auditing:
* Lead and manage audit engagements for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
* Identify and address areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvements.
3. Insolvency:
* Manage insolvency cases, including members voluntary liquidations, creditors voluntary liquidations, and strike offs.
* Liaise with creditors, debtors, and legal representatives.
* Develop and implement strategies for asset recovery and distribution.
4. Tax and Tax Compliance:
* Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
* Provide tax planning advice and identify opportunities for tax efficiency.
5. Client Relations:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
* Address client queries and provide timely, accurate advice.
* Conduct client meetings and presentations as needed.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
* Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
* Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Requirements:
* Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a practice environment.
* Extensive experience in Accounting, Auditing, Insolvency, Tax, and Tax Compliance.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
