Job Title: Global Field Operations Technician
We are looking for a talented Global Field Operations Technician to join our diverse team of experts. As a key member of our AWS Infrastructure Services team, you will play a critical role in the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installing, servicing, and retrieving data center & network hardware.
* Troubleshooting network installations & configurations.
* Adhering to strict customer SLAs.
* Traveling up to 50-60% of the time between AWS locations domestically and internationally.
* Coordinating remote hands & eyes for remote support.
* Actively participating in small to mid-size projects to build new or expand existing sites and deployments.
* Connect and troubleshoot rack power connections and other facility resources.
* Produce reports to management on metrics and project status.
* On-call duty will be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Proven experience with data center equipment and rack build/installation.
* In-depth operational understanding of networking hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers and server hardware and associated troubleshooting.
* Experience with Network Protocols: TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3 technologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 4+ years working in a data center operations environment.
* Proficiency in 1 or more network operating systems - Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Junos.
* Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, etc.)
* Data center inventory management, security, network connectivity.
* Basic understanding of Linux/Unix configuration.
Salary:
$70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
