We are presently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our clients in County Cork. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience, either chartered or SCSI registered working towards chartership. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the country. You will have 5+ years’ experience in a consultancy service/project management focused company and will lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function across multiple projects around Ireland. This is a permanent position based in County Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function across multiple projects.
* Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ’s) to ARM4/5 and schedule of rates (SOR).
* Provide accurate estimates and manage project costs.
* Evaluate and negotiate contracts, contract changes, and variations.
* Assist with the preparation of cost plans and cash flow projections.
* Document controls and filing.
* Regularly communicate with clients, contractors, and design teams.
* Assist with the preparation of progress reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
* Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor within the consultancy construction sector.
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost management, and contract administration.
* Have a full Irish driving license.
Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and is open to negotiation.
