Our client, a well-established company in North Wicklow, is seeking a full-time Accounts Assistant to provide support to their accounts department across banking, creditors, payroll, reconciliations, and general finance administration. This position is fully on-site.
Compensation: €35,000 - €40,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities
Banking:
* Process payments and lodgements.
* Analyse cash receipts and prepare lodgements.
* Coordinate with Accounts Receivable on receipts and outstanding balances.
* Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations.
* Creditors:
* Manage daily email communication and follow-ups.
* Process and match invoices with delivery/service dockets.
* Ensure payments are properly authorised.
* Prepare EFT and cheque payments.
* Perform monthly and ad-hoc reconciliations.
Payroll:
* Process timesheets and generate payroll reports.
* Liaise with managers to ensure accurate payroll processing.
* Submit payroll to ROS and authorise PAYE payments.
* Perform control account reconciliations.
* Manage a high volume of payroll processing during certain periods.
ROS & Compliance:
* Ensure timely and accurate payroll submissions to ROS.
* Process PAYE payments.
* Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries.
Finance Support & Ad Hoc Duties:
* Monitor payment processes and company spending.
* Follow up on general finance inquiries.
* Support additional finance tasks such as insurance reviews.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in accounts administration, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role.
* Proficiency in accounting software. (Sage would be beneficial)
* Strong knowledge of payroll processing, ROS compliance, and reconciliations. An IPASS qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
