Best in class Recruitment for Renewable Energies, Sustainability, Environment & Utilities
Anderson McQue has been appointed by the Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA) to source a
Business Development Manager.
Summary
The Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA) is seeking a full-time manager to aid the association to develop its membership base, diversify revenue sources and improve our membership offering so that we can grow the organisation in line with a fast-growing industry and better represent our members.
Who we are
Founded in 2013, the Irish Solar Energy Association’s vision is to support a decarbonised, equitable and sustainable energy future in Ireland. Through engagement, education and encouraging best practice, we represent the solar sector to maximise Ireland’s solar generation.
We express our values through our behaviour:
* We will pursue policies that optimise outcomes for society
* Our contributions to policy will be constructive, proposing concrete positive measures that are grounded in data
* We will be holistic in our view, considering solar as a significant but constituent element of the wider energy value chain
* We will emphasise interventions to aid solar cost reduction
* We act ethically and with integrity
* Inclusivity – we advocate for energy equality, ensuring solar benefits are accessible to all communities.
Role
The holder of this role will play an important role in building and delivering a business development strategy to help grow the association and the value proposition it provides to members. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the CEO and Membership Engagement Assistant Manager to engage with the market and members. 2025 is an important year for the solar industry. Solar PV is scaling to a point where it is a significant contributor to Ireland’s electricity mix. Underpinning that development is a requirement for greater focus on growing the association. We are seeking a person to shape and take ownership of our business development approach.
Team
The holder of this role will join a small team with ambitions of growing the association. They will primarily work with Marta Ferreira dos Santos, the Membership Engagement Assistant Manager. They will also liaise with Conall Bolger, the ISEA Chief Executive Officer, especially in his role as ambassador and senior representative for the association. The appointed Business Development Manager will liaise with the Policy team, especially around lead development. An ongoing aspect of the position will be regular engagement with a variety of ISEA figures especially around the growth agenda and opportunities for members to deepen their relationship with the association. Examples could include: representatives of member companies, the ISEA Board Directors, and various potential member candidates.
