Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager
We are seeking an ambitious Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager to drive our company's continuous growth.
This role will involve generating new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and closing deals with new and existing clients.
The position is predominantly field-based with scheduled office days in Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify new business opportunities and drive growth with a primary focus on Air/Sea services.
* Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
* Progress potential customers into sales.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue.
* Set manageable weekly visit targets in agreement with the Sales Manager.
* Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination between sales and service delivery.
* Maintain up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions using the company's CRM system.
* Adhere to high levels of customer service and KWE Ireland values.
* Conduct market research and analyze metrics on competitors' products, pricing, and market success to identify new opportunities.
Requirements:
* 2-3 years of proven experience in sales within the freight forwarding industry.
* Strong knowledge of global freight forwarding (Air/Sea).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
* Client account management, building, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
* A full valid driver's license is necessary.
