As a Junior Calibration Technician working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the Medical Device sector. This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Cork.
You will be involved in the setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of Dimensional Tools along with Electrical and Process Instruments: Conductivity and pH probes, Temperature Probes, Pressure Transmitters.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine calibrations for various precision instruments and devices, including but not limited to:
* Dimensional Tools: Calipers, Micrometers, Pin Gauges, Plug Gauges, Thread Gauges.
* Electrical and Process Instruments: Conductivity and pH probes, Temperature Probes, Pressure Transmitters.
* Timers and Stopwatches: Calibrate time-measuring devices to ensure accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with established calibration procedures, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Accurately document calibration results and maintain detailed records within the company’s calibration management system.
* Perform basic troubleshooting for calibration equipment and escalate issues when necessary.
* Ensure all calibration activities align with quality systems and applicable regulatory guidelines.
* Support engineers, technicians, and production teams by maintaining the availability and reliability of calibrated instruments.
* Engage in ongoing training to improve calibration techniques and stay updated on metrology best practices.
* Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the calibration sector (Lotus CI program).
* Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
* Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with calibration activities.
Skills Required
* Min 2 years working experience in industry, preferably in a medical Device or relevant GMP manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and understand technical manuals and engineering documentation.
* Knowledge and understanding of calibration activities.
* Excellent communicator.
* Capable of successfully working within a team while having the initiative to self-resolve issues.
* Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
* Qualified Craft Technician (Instrumentation) or Degree qualified in Instrumentation preferred.
* Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
