Our client is an Irish award-winning Multidisciplinary Consultancy with an International presence. Our client is expanding rapidly due to their reputation and their service offering across multiple sectors including Healthcare, Residential, Hospitality, Commercial & Data Centres.
The Role:
Our client is seeking a Resource Manager to coordinate and optimise workforce planning for Data Centre and high-tech commercial projects. In this role, you will report to senior leadership and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Operational Directors, Associate Directors, HR, and Finance teams. Your primary focus will be to ensure that resource allocation aligns with project timelines, budgets, and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Track and update workforce availability using Excel-based planning tools.
* Coordinate with hiring managers to assign staff according to project needs and budgets.
* Strategically allocate personnel resources based on a predefined skills matrix and assess workforce capabilities.
* Facilitate six-monthly performance reviews for the resource pool and support discussions on career progression.
* Manage short-term and long-term resourcing needs, including tracking utilisation levels and workforce capacity.
* Approve contractor timesheets and liaise with external staffing providers for additional resources.
* Prepare and present weekly dashboard reports on staff utilisation to leadership.
* Communicate regularly with employees in the resource pool for updates on assignments and career development.
* Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees, including facilitating shadowing periods for junior staff.
Required Background:
* Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* 3–6 years’ experience in resource coordination, workforce planning, or project support (preferably in engineering, construction, or consultancy).
* Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel; SAP or other planning tools is a plus.
* Familiarity with engineering project lifecycles and workforce planning. Experience with contractor allocations and timesheet approvals is desirable.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and structured problem solver.
