Role Summary:
An excellent opportunity for an energetic individual to join a focused team in a fast paced and rewarding environment. As a Life Style Sports Assistant Buyer you will be responsible for supporting the Buyer and Concept team in driving and increasing sales and margin in your category. You should have excellent analytical skills, an eye for product and bring new well thought out ideas to the buying process.
Role Responsibilities:
Buying Requirement
* Work with the Concept Buyer to curate product assortments and promotions to achieve budgeted Sales, stock and margin targets.
* Review and analyse data for your department from both the digital and store channel, ensuring an action focused approach to information acquired.
* Assisting the Buyer in forecasting Sales, Stock and Margin for the Concept.
* Create and set up products in accordance with the company buying policy.
* Placing orders with suppliers in line with agreed deadlines.
* Monitor stock levels against sales projections working with the buyer and merchandiser to resolve any issues.
* Work with the buyer to develop option plans for the website and stores and set up accordingly on the system.
* Propose Price action and stock movements in accordance with the company policy.
* Generate and review weekly/quarterly business reports to support the buying process.
* Assist the buyer with meeting preparation and participate in quarterly buying presentations.
* Selecting and forecasting against Core Line options.
* Support the development of the Concept strategy.
* Respond to and resolve queries from stores and suppliers.
* Liaise with Training department to support brand training modules in stores.
* Engage in regular competitor product and price checking.
* Engage with the Marketing and Operations teams to support GTM plan to drive sales.
Merchandising Support
* Manage cancellations in accordance with company stock targets.
* Maintain forward order books and wish list in conjunction with the Merchandiser.
* Work with Merchandise assistant to define product call off requirements.
Supplier Management
* Manage the order book reconciliation process.
* Manage and resolve and invoicing queries.
Key Requirements:
* A minimum of Leaving Certificate or equivalent
* A minimum of 2-3 years Buying or Sales experience in fashion or sports retail, displaying an understanding of fashion trends
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Third level qualification in Buying and Business or related discipline
