The Tax Manager Role
Our client is a growing Big 4 firm based in Cork City, with a circa 40-person strong tax team catering to a diverse range of clients from privately owned businesses to global multinational corporations across various tax heads.
About the Role
You will manage a portfolio of Irish and international CT clients, balancing compliance and consulting work. The role also involves training and mentoring junior staff members and trainees.
Key Responsibilities
Ownership and development of relationships with clients are key indicators of success. Cross-team communication and collaboration are highly valued.
Progression Opportunities
Promotions typically occur every two years or sooner, depending on business needs. With hard work and dedication, there are opportunities to progress to Director and above.
Work-Life Balance
The organisation prioritises work-life balance through wellness initiatives. However, like any tax role, periods of high workload may occur, particularly from September to December.
Remuneration
Competitive remuneration packages, including bonuses and benefits, are available for the right candidate.
Interview Process
Expect behavioural-based questions focusing on your experience and what you can bring to the role. Interviews are not overly technical, but rather assess your fit within the team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should be a qualified Tax Consultant (AITI) with previous management experience and be based in Cork or the surrounding Munster region.
