About the organization: This organization provides a wide range of high-quality community-based services for children and adults with an intellectual disability and autism throughout Galway City and County. Services provided are day services, residential, short break respite services, supported self-directed living programmes, outreach services, community supports, educational, rehabilitative training and multi-disciplinary supports.
Position Overview: The Occupational Therapy Manager will be responsible for the overall management and performance of occupational therapy activity in keeping with good professional practice and subject to agreed national policy directives and priorities.
The Occupational Therapy Manager will be responsible for the management, delivery and development of high-quality Occupational Therapy services to adult service users, working in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the people we support, as well as carrying a clinical caseload. He/she will liaise with other discipline and service managers as well as the multidisciplinary team in providing a quality service which enables service users to realise their potential by delivering a coordinated approach to their care, within a Person-Centred Practice Model.
Qualifications and Requirements:
•CORU registration
•Minimum of 5 years experience
•Experience working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities
•Full license and use of a car
