PepsiCo is seeking a Global Process Safety Senior Engineer to join our global engineering function based in Cork.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide Process Safety Engineering capability specializing in process design solutions for PGCS Beverage Concentrate Manufacturing Platforms
* Ensure new & existing products/formulas are manufactured to PepsiCo standards and consumer expectations
* Lead the design of key Strategic Capital Programs and Initiatives
* Develop designs incorporating innovative solutions and leverage new technology to deliver value to the business
* Develop and leverage best practices from PepsiCo divisions as well as from other industries to deliver world class performance in plant and equipment design.
* Provide technical guidance during project design and implementation, including Commissioning & Process Qualification, to assure viability of technology in proposed configuration
* Utilize Engineering first principles, scientific methods, and processing systems knowledge to develop technical process equipment solutions that both create new business opportunities and solve existing equipment needs.
* Develop sustainable engineering practices and programmes ensuring sustainability in plant design and operation
Qualifications
• 5-10 years process industry experience in liquids and powders processing & overall plant manufacturing engineering.
• Extensive design & project management experience.
• Process safety experience.
• Degree qualification in Chemical, Process, or equivalent engineering discipline.
• Experience required in the following areas:
* Application of technical standards (Machinery Safety, Atex Directives, FM Global data sheets etc)
* Hygienic design
* Process safety
* Management of projects from concept level, front end design & detail design
* Business case and capital approval
* Design, Procurement and Installation
* Construction, Commissioning and Validation
* Environmental, health and safety management
* Contractor and Construction Management
• Team management
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Change management advocative
• Proven experience delivering the design safety aspects of medium to large capital projects on an on-going operation in a diverse environment
• Experience with; FM Global standards, Machinery Safety & ATEX standards
This role requires significant technical competency in the engineering field and the ability to influence key stakeholders to drive change in operational methods and the ability to manage teams of contractors and staff to deliver projects to a high standard.
