Job Description
Cork-based Medical Device company seeks an Equipment Validation Engineer on a 12-month contract. This is an hourly rate position with rates dependent on experience.
Role Responsibilities:
* Introduce and validate new equipment, collaborating with Value Streams to improve processes.
* Assist Product Development in determining necessary hardware for new products.
* Participate in collaborative efforts to develop equipment specifications (URS).
* Meet with suppliers to discuss equipment requests and capital approval.
* Lead FATs and design assessments of new equipment.
* Validate new equipment and move/verify existing equipment from other locations.
* Support adoption of novel technology and troubleshoot production concerns using automated machinery.
* Establish a culture of continual improvement and promote adherence to quality policies and regulations.
* Arrange training for new tools and provide technical leadership on maintenance and equipment issues.
Education & Experience:
* Degree level qualification in a related field of study.
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Right to work freely in Ireland without Visa restrictions.
Key Requirements:
* Strong understanding of medical device industry standards.
* Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
* Experience with automation, robotics, and vision systems.
* Knowledge of quality policies and regulations.
