Compliance Manager (12-Month Contract) – Dublin
My client is a specialist bank, serving clients primarily in the UK and South Africa. They are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join their team on a 12-month contract. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to provide crucial support to the Head of Compliance, ensuring regulatory adherence and effective financial crime prevention across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Head of Compliance by providing expert advice and guidance to staff on compliance and financial crime matters.
2. Monitor new regulations and legislation, assessing their impact on the business.
3. Contribute to key projects requiring regulatory and compliance input.
4. Focus on areas such as AML, MiFID II, Client Asset Requirements, Market Abuse Regulations, EMIR, Individual Accountability Framework, and Central Bank Codes.
5. Review and enhance firm-wide policies, procedures, and controls related to compliance and financial crime.
6. Assist in regulatory communications with the Central Bank of Ireland and other authorities.
7. Develop and deliver compliance and financial crime training for the Board and staff.
8. Conduct compliance monitoring and oversight to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
9. Engage with external legal advisors and consultants when required.
10. Represent the bank at industry seminars and networking events related to compliance and financial crime.
What you Need:
1. 3rd-level qualification in Legal, Professional, or Business fields.
2. In-depth experience in a compliance role, with a strong understanding of Irish AML/CTF legislation.
3. Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
4. Strong working knowledge of financial products and markets.
5. Ability to work independently with initiative.
6. A natural team player, comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8. A proactive mindset with a desire to learn and grow.
9. Working knowledge of MiFID II (advantageous).
10. Professional Diploma in Compliance (LCI) or equivalent qualification preferred.
