Addleshaw Goddard's (AG) presence in Ireland was formed through a merger with Eugene F Collins in 2022 and has been operating in the market for nearly 130 years. We are part of a global framework of offices across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. AG is one of the largest global law firms in Ireland with over 80 Lawyers and 31 Partners. Our total headcount is more than 150, an increase of 40% since 2022, and we have continued ambitious growth plans for the future.
WHAT TEAM WILL YOU BE JOINING?
This role is based in our Dublin office, which will soon be located in new modern iconic premises at No.28 Fitzwilliam. The role is providing HR guidance, coaching and support to the Head of Ireland, Heads of Practice and Partners of AG Ireland. The role sits within our Human Resources Team, which is spread across our offices in England, Scotland, and EMEA and supports the business internationally. The HR Team is made up of various smaller teams including Learning and Development, Reward, Resourcing, HR Operations, HR Business Partnering and the CSR and Diversity team.
Your role will be supporting the business in Ireland, but you can expect to work closely with the HR Business Partnering team, as well as cohesively with the wider HR Team, key stakeholders, and partners within the business. The role is supported by a number of Advisors across the wider HR team and a shared service HR administration team.

WHAT WILL THE ROLE INVOLVE?
The role is varied and in supporting the achievement of the Dublin office's ambitious growth and development plans, you will get involved in a number of ad hoc projects within the Central HR team on a regular basis, liaising with colleagues in other locations or teams as needed.
The following list is not exhaustive but gives a flavour of some of the responsibilities;
Business Partnering
* Leading and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and employees.
* Possess the ability to leverage internal and external networks for the benefit of the firm.
* Able to influence key decision of business leaders and contribute towards strategic debate.
* Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance and support on HR related matters.
* Partnering with business leaders to understand their objectives and challenges, working closely with them to develop and implement HR initiatives that drive employee engagement, performance, and retention.
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve HR processes and practices to support the achievement of business goals.
Resourcing
* Overseeing recruitment for the Ireland office, working alongside the Resourcing team, providing support in the provision of timely and cost effective and efficient resource management to stakeholder teams.
* Liaising with recruiting line managers to establish a business case and authorisation of vacancies before commencing with appropriate sourcing and attraction methodologies. Supporting the selection process as needed through to offer stage.
* Overseeing new joiners from point of offer to date of commencement, assisting with inductions.
* Supporting leavers from point of resignation to leaving date. Conducting exit interviews.
