The Role:
The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland’s infrastructure. The area drives investment and the Sustainability and Innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored. The Asset Management function is responsible for strategic planning, prioritisation, and development of Uisce Éireann’s Capital Works pipeline. The function plays a key role in promoting collaboration and co-ordination of activities across the three asset functions as well as providing environmental assessment and management expertise across Uisce Éireann.
The Asset Intelligence team’s purpose is to connect their customers with quality asset data to drive insights and support decision making. The scope of the team's responsibility covers four main areas: Asset Data Insights and Stakeholder Management, Asset Data Management, Asset Data Governance and Special Projects.
Reporting to the Asset Data Technical Lead- Data Capture, the Asset Data Analyst – Processes will be responsible for the collection, processing and management of asset data within Uisce Éireann’s asset management systems.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain process diagrams and related documentation to support collection, processing and management of asset data within Uisce Éireann’s asset management systems.
Manage a team of Asset Data Officers and Support staff
Develop new, and improve existing, processes with the business to ensure effective, timely capture of quality asset data.
Where appropriate provide asset data information for team members and external partners
Contribute to the setting of operational performance indicators relating to asset data.
Ensure that processing and provision of asset information aligns with the needs of internal and external stakeholders, and is compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements
Ensure that any required reporting is complete, timely and accurate, and that content is appropriate to users’ needs.
Where appropriate, provide guidance and assistance relating to asset data management to other team members and colleagues.
Assess integrity and completeness of all asset types such as Sewers, Manholes, Watermains, Water Treatment Plants, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Customer Meters, Control Systems etc
Liaise with Asset Owners and Stewards in relation to issues concerning asset data quality and completeness based on intelligence gathered from both internal and external systems (e.g. survey data)
Contribute to formulation and implementation of standards and best practices relating to asset information management and provision, in accordance with, and supportive of, regulatory requirements and company objectives.
Contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Asset Management Business plans.
Raise risks and issues as appropriate to the relevant Asset Data Lead
Participate in ongoing projects as required.
Keep up to date with best practice.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business.
Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
Provide visible leadership for your team, coaching and developing them to achieve their full potential and deliver business objectives, promoting collaboration and highlighting the behaviours that are expected from everyone in the team.
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is required.
A minimum of 3 years experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is required.
Experience managing a team, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills.
The ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
A proven track record dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate information to others.
Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results within a team.
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements.
A track record of identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job

Please note the Market reference point (midpoint) of the range is generally the upper end of the offer where someone is deemed to be fully competent to take on the duties of the role, and leaves room for the employee to progress through the pay range as their experience develops further
