Job Title: Mechanical Build Technician

The Role
As a Mechanical Build Technician, you will play a key role in the assembly and build of automated equipment used in the manufacture of life-saving medical devices.
* Interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
* Assemble precision mechanical components and systems to a high standard
* Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and validating of mechanical assemblies
* Assist with key project milestones, including setup tasks, quality checks, and commissioning
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace
* Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are assembled as intended
* Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
What You Need
* Qualification in Toolmaking, Precision Engineering, or a relevant mechanical discipline (Level 6 or equivalent experience)
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally working with automated equipment or precision assemblies
* Strong mechanical assembly skills with attention to detail and precision
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
* Effective time management and organisational skills to meet project deadlines
* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with the ability to work in a team
