Nua Healthcare Services invites you to join our multidisciplinary team in a specialist mental health inpatient service for adults aged 18-65 with mental disorders. Our mission, vision, and values guide us in delivering high-quality care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
* To comply with relevant laws and regulations, including the Health Act 2007, Mental Health Act 2001, Mental Health Amendment Act 2018, Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, and associated standards.
* To ensure patient plans and Individual Care Plans are up-to-date and services meet quality and safety standards.
* To familiarize yourself with local safety statements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
* To adhere to company policies and procedures.
* To use company IT systems as instructed and maintain confidentiality under GDPR.
* To report patient safety concerns to your line manager or other Nua managers.
* To act responsibly and cooperate with regulators for the best interests of our service and patients.
* To maintain infection control standards according to company policy and national guidelines.
Supportive Role:
* Support front-line staff in delivering effective support to patients.
* Develop and implement Health Assessments, Medication Plans, and supporting documents.
* Ensure Health Action Plans are delivered to patients.
* Promote good relationships with primary healthcare services.
* Communicate and liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
* Identify supports and work in partnership with individuals, families, and other supports.
* Support patients with health appointments and follow through on recommendations.
* Maintain strict confidentiality.
Requirements:
* Registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Excellent knowledge of medication management.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Understanding of individual needs.
* Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
* Experience in supportive roles.
* Willingness to learn and adapt.
* Reliability, flexibility, and good organization and IT skills.
* Self-motivated and able to plan time effectively.
