A snapshot of your peer group:
1. Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent)
2. Excellent knowledge of accounting and auditing, preferably obtained in a "Big 4/Top 10" environment
3. Experience with financial services clients
4. At least four years in a professional audit environment, including at least one year as manager/assistant manager
5. Excellent project management skills
Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:
6. Responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients in the investment management, leasing, insurance and banking sectors
7. Planning of audit - timing, staffing and structure
8. Liaising closely with clients in relation to planning and closing meetings, and discussing business developments generally
9. Reviewing audit work papers
10. Researching and resolving technical queries from clients
11. Reviewing and finalising financial statements
12. Assisting in managing a group of seniors and trainees
13. Monitoring the development of seniors and trainees and playing an active role in the performance appraisal process
14. Participating in the delivery of training courses to staff
15. General administration, including working capital management.
16. Strong interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasm are a pre-requisite for this role.
