Overview
Your role here is to be a force of organisation in managing the central engine of the Compliance function where you will oversee all monitoring, reporting and assurance items.
With that in mind, you will have broad exposure across the business with others in the function having more siloed roles to do with specific regulations. It will be your piece to organise these various moving parts of Compliance responsibility.
Your Responsibilities
1. Implementation & maintenance of a Compliance framework for all regulated activities.
2. Provision of support for business, operational and regulator change projects to be implemented in respect of the investment activities undertaken locally.
3. Own the roll out of the Individual Accountability Framework and all relevant SEAR items.
4. Provide full guidance and support to the business lines in the interpretation of compliance and regulatory requirements.
5. The maintenance and implementation of risk assessment processes for ensuring that compliance risks are comprehensively monitored.
6. Maintain an in-depth business insight and sufficient authority to support the Business on compliance advisory related matters, providing robust challenge and making a “value add” contribution to Second Line of Defence.
7. Gather and aggregate data that identifies gaps within existing processes or arising from new regulations and ensuring that the correct remedial actions are put in place at an early stage.
8. Overseeing the design and production of compliance reports for local Board and Management Committees as well as Enterprise reporting & conduct risk metrics.
9. Other ad hoc items such as management of regulatory reporting input, supporting Regulatory inspections & acting as Secretary to the Compliance Committee.
Your Background
* Background in Compliance, Internal Audit or Operational Risk with experience of 3 lines of defence model.
* Exposure to compliance regulations for capital markets and/or corporate banking.
* Knowledge of financial regulation applying to a credit institution in Ireland.
* Compliance monitoring and testing experience would be a distinct advantage.
* A keen eye for organising a Compliance function to run as a well-oiled machine.
