Engineering Manager - I, DevSecOps & Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities :
* Manage a team of engineers with various responsibilities across DevOps, DecSecOps, DBA.
* Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to understand product priorities.
* Ensure the highest quality standards are maintained by promoting a quality and testability focused culture.
* Work with Leadership or Principal and Senior Engineers to manage and prioritize tasks to reduce technical debt throughout project phases.
* Facilitate daily stand-ups/planning, ensuring bottlenecks are resolved and goals are efficiently met.
* Collaborate with the team, management, and other teams to develop a culture of continuous improvement (process and technical).
* Set and evaluate goals, conduct performance reviews, conduct regular 1-1 reviews, etc., and identify skill gaps and training needs.
* Implement and maintain DevSecOps best practices, including security automation and compliance.
* Manage and optimize databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness.
* Drive incident response, monitoring, and observability initiatives.
* Ability to work effectively in a remote and global team environment.
Must-Haves:
* 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SysAdmin, Infrastructure, DevSecOps, or similar.
* 2+ years of managing a team of at least 6 engineers working on various functions in the Infra/DevOps space.
* Experience finding and developing great talent.
* Experience working with Scrum in prioritizing and delivering roadmap items.
* Experience managing a BAU or support function.
* Experience with CI/CD - Experience in GitLab preferred.
* Experience with AWS Services.
* Experience with Databases (managing Database projects).
Nice to haves:
* Experience with Shift left for testing and security.
* Experience with observability.
* Experience with security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2), processes and audits.
* High level of ownership.
* Valued team-oriented and collaborative engineering culture.
* Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
* Very strong communication skills.
