Job Title: Global Procurement Specialist
The Global Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting and assisting the Category Management strategy by gathering and anticipating business unit supply needs and specifications for the Raw Materials / Direct Materials category.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the Category Manager in developing the category strategy, executing the sourcing plan, and managing projects to optimize value.
* Assist the Category Manager in continuously improving vendors and effectively managing relationships with key category vendors and business stakeholders.
* Develop and sustain vendor and customer relationships, ensuring accountability within the managed category and tracking performance.
* Align with stakeholders and business leaders on their needs, providing Project Management support for multiple projects within budget and on time.
* Be responsible for continuous quality and service from suppliers to support efficient business operations.
* Support category spend savings targets and objectives, driving value through cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings.
* Manage category supplier relationships and sourcing opportunities, including RFPs, negotiations, etc.
* Ensure sound contract management and drive continuous value out of contracts.
* Assist with negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the Raw Materials Category as assigned.
* Ensure category activities comply with GxPs and other applicable regulations.
* Use data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
* At least 2 years of related industry/category experience.
* Working knowledge of sourcing contracting tools, ERP's, and eRFx systems (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, etc.).
* Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate details clearly and effectively.
* Strong business acumen.
* Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive results.
Salary:
$90,000 - $120,000 per year
