Job Description Description: The applicant will be a key part of the Aftermarket Platform Centre of Excellence, working with one of the Global Leaders Sievers Analytical Instruments (AI) field service team, predominantly carrying out preventative maintenance, testing and calibrating Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysers.
There will also be an element of reactive repair work as well as the opportunity to validate new start-ups and installations.
Essential Responsibilities • This position involves 75% primarily on one customer site, with the remaining 25% consisting of travel to support other customers within the region.
• Installs and services Sievers Branded Analytical equipment • They will be responsible for scheduling and planning your own workload, your customer focussed approach will be vital to achieve business priorities whilst working safely, compliantly and efficiently • Keep up to date with all Factory / Field Service Repair Quality Operating Instructions (QOIs), including all applicable safety procedures and demonstrate proficiency in performing all associated test and calibration routines.
• Acts as the local technical consultant and liaison with customer management and customer representatives at site • Support all Sievers instrument-related technical service activities including parts refurbishment, instrument validation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair and performance testing • Coordinates functions with Management/Senior FSRs • Completes and distributes onsite Service reports based on any work carried out at site.
• Logistical and administrative duties such as maintaining inventory of spare parts stock, ordering materials, preparing job status and technical reports, generate customer deliverables, i.e.
repair letters, calibration certificates etc.
• Relays Customer feedback to the Manager and/or Technical Department.
• Recommends appropriate site procedural and/or policy changes that will help overall effectiveness.
• Is flexible in role and can support other sites at distributed geographic locations within region.
• Conducts training of company trainees in the various site technical functions encompassed by the position of Field Service Representative.
Qualifications What will They need?
With a technical background and commitment to working in a field-based role.
They will be based from home and required to work on the same customer site for 75% of the time the other 25% percent will to support other customers within the region.
With full autonomy and responsibility for your customer base, you'll need to understand individual needs to ensure accuracy of service and that deadlines are met.
With excellent all-round communication skills, additionally you will need: Qualifications • Technical qualifications should ideally be at degree level (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering, or possess semiconductor experience, with prior involvement in TOC analysers.
A Level or an equivalent in Chemistry is desirable, along with relevant knowledge and experience.
• Applied experience and knowledge of relevant analytical instrument systems, ideally in the pharmaceutical, water treatment or semi-conductor process industry • Field experience in technical environment where troubleshooting and customer relationship are top priorities • Strong computer skills with MS Office and ability to learn other software applications Salesforce and Sievers Emulators.
