Our care team has extensive clinical experience, specializing in dementia care and aiming to be a holistic person-centered care provider to all its Residents. Maintenance Position
This person will be required to work as part of a maintenance team which looks after a number of nursing homes. The role involves working closely with the team in each home to ensure that the facility is maintained to the highest possible standard. The role will involve travelling between homes, mainly in the Cork region.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
2. Working with outside contractors for major repair work.
3. Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
4. Performing inspections and recording the results.
5. Tidying external areas.
6. Painting.
7. Providing holiday cover for the maintenance person in a number of different homes.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Possess practical DIY skills to carry out minor repairs.
2. Have the ability to manage your own workload.
3. Possess good problem-solving skills.
4. Have a basic level of IT literacy.
5. Have a good awareness of health, safety, security and hygiene issues.
6. Be willing to work flexibly.
7. Carry a full driver licence and have their own transport.
