A leading biotechnology company is seeking to hire an Operations Technician to join their team in Sligo on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, the Operations Technician will be responsible for the execution of manufacturing activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in maintaining a safe, GMP compliant work environment at all times.
2. Become competent and trained on all unit operations including tableting, blistering, labelling, packaging, and antigen manufacture, plus any manufacturing processes or capabilities that may be introduced in the future.
3. Operate manufacturing equipment including set-up, operation, cleaning, and where applicable, maintain equipment.
4. Provide input into the creation and maintenance of area SOPs and batch records.
5. Perform and document operations in accordance with cGMPs.
6. Contamination control within cleanroom environments.
As the company is a start-up, flexibility will be required in relation to working patterns. A shift pattern will be introduced in the future.
Ideal background:
1. Desirably hold an ordinary degree in a technical discipline (e.g., pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology).
2. A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry.
3. At least 3 years’ experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry, with operational experience in a GMP environment.
4. Experience in cleanroom environments.
5. Experience in aseptic processing would be advantageous.
