Senior Quantity Surveyor - Site Based Dublin
To manage for Main Contractor client the procurement of subcontractors, payment of subcontractors, management of Contractor resources and maximisation of Construction margin on each project contract.
This is a site-based role.
Current upcoming projects are in healthcare up to €50M and High Density Residential up to €120M.
Main Responsibilities:
* Cost management of multiple projects allocated by Commercial Director
* Prepare budget for approval by Commercial Director, Operations Director and Regional Director
* Management and direction of Junior / Project QS
* Liaise and work closely with the Commercial Director and Contacts Manager to deliver high quality projects on time and on budget
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be required to procure all required subcontractors or Contractor Construction resources necessary for the carrying out of all works.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all payments to subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with company systems and procedures.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for all paperwork required in the running and management of his project and for the correspondence required with the Head Office.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor shall ensure that all variation accounts are dealt with in such a manner so that they are paid as the project progresses.
Preparation of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR).
Desired Skills and Experience:
* 10 plus years proven experience with academic or professional qualifications
* Excellent communication, presentation and people management skills
* Experience with Public works contract beneficial
